I will be using openFrameworks to find the vectors that fonts are drawn with and then instruct Pedro to plot them. This will section will show my journey though fonts and how to plot them.
The first step in finding out how to follow the contour of a character is to find the points that form it. Thankfully openFrameworks has some nice built in functions that do exactly that, this shows some experimentation with them.

After finding the points, I have to calculate the path that the plotters pen will take. I wanted to build a virtual model of this. This was not as easy as it sounds as a plotter would be moving in steps, with a time less that 1ms between steps. A computer monitor refreshes around sixty times a second, which doesn't help. This wasn't the only problem I encountered
